Christopher R. Brauchli is a graduate of Harvard University and the University of Colorado School of Law where he served on the Board of Editors of the Rocky Mountain Law Review. Chris served as President of the Boulder Bar Association in 1974-1975 and the Colorado Bar Association in 1989-1990. He is a fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, the American Bar Foundation, the Colorado Bar Foundation and the Boulder Bar Foundation.


About Byron Brauchli (black & white photographs)

Byron Brauchli, a printmaker and photographer, specializes in alternate photographic processes and Mexican-U.S. visual studies. He holds a B.A. in Spanish Literature and a B.F.A., Magna Cum Laude, in Art from the University of Colorado, as well as an M.F.A. in Studio Art from the University of Texas at Austin. His photographs have been exhibited internationally in such venues as The Galveston Arts Center, The Houston Center for Photography, The Austin Museum of Art, El Museo de Antropologia, Xalapa, Veracruz, El Centro Cultural Tijuana, and The Galería Alva de la Canal, University of Veracruz, among many others. His work is in such collections as the Center for Creative Photography, the Houston Museum of Fine Arts, the Photographic Collection at the Harry Ransom Center, University of Texas at Austin. In 1996 he received a U.S.-Mexico Fund for Culture Grant (Rockefeller Foundation/Fonda Nacional para la Cultura y Artes) to conduct a bi-national project visually documenting the border region and in 1999 he was a Fulbright-Robles García Scholar collaborating with the Institute of Fine Arts at the University of Veracruz, where he is currently a research fellow. David Brauchli, formerly a photojournalist for the Associated Press who covered the conflicts in Yugoslavia and Chechnya among other places, now lives in Prague.
